Calcudoku cages
+ − × ÷ · 4×4 to 9×9

Calcudoku cage combinations

Every way to fill two-cell cages for + − × and ÷, and three-cell straight cages for + and ×, for every grid size from 4×4 to 9×9. Highlighted cages have only one possible pair or set.

How to read it: on a 6×6, a 15× two-cell cage is always 3 and 5. A 2÷ cage could be 1&2, 2&4 or 3&6. Cross the options with what each row and column still needs.

Questions

Why are − and ÷ cages only two cells?

Subtraction and division are not order-free, so cages using them are always two cells; the larger number comes first.

Do bent cages allow repeats?

Yes — an L-shaped cage can repeat a digit if the copies are in different rows and columns. The three-cell tables here cover straight cages, where all digits differ.

Is this the same for Mathdoku and KenDoku?

Yes — they are the same puzzle under different names.
