A garden maze is full of mirrors โ and of creatures: a fish, a bird or a frog in every square without a mirror. The totals of each kind are shown under the maze.
Each number around the edge counts the creatures you see when you look in from there. Your line of sight runs straight until it meets a mirror, then bounces off at a right angle, and so on until it leaves the maze. A creature passed twice is counted twice.
The twist: birds fly off when they glimpse their reflection, so they are only seen before the first mirror; fish hide under the glassy surface and only show up in a mirror, so only after it; frogs are seen either way.
Place a fish, bird or frog in every empty square so each number counts the creatures seen along its line of sight, bouncing off mirrors.
