Equation Square is a crossword of sums. The nine squares hold 1 to 9, each once, with a sign between each pair: plus, minus, times or divide.
Each row works from left to right, and each column from top to bottom, to give the answer at its end. In the classic version you work one step at a time; choose BODMAS order to do × and ÷ first.
Look for lines with ÷ or a big × — they have very few ways to work, and fix numbers that help the other equations.
Place 1 to 9 once each so every row and column, worked through with its signs, gives the answer at its end.

Left to right does each step in order. BODMAS does multiplication and division before addition and subtraction, like a calculator.
