Signpost Path Solver — Step by Step

Click a square, then press its arrow (or ★ for the last square) and type its number if it has one. Then press Solve. Or play a generated puzzle and send it here with one click.

Signpost Path Solver: rules, how to use it, tips

Number every square from 1 to the star so that each next square lies somewhere in the direction of the arrow on the square before it.

The rules

  1. Every square except the last shows an arrow (one of eight directions).
  2. The next number is in a square somewhere along the arrow’s line — any distance away.
  3. Every square is used exactly once, from 1 up to the square with the star.
  4. Given numbers must keep their place.

Using the solver

  1. Choose the size and enter the arrows and numbers (or press Sample).
  2. Press Solve and step through each link: only one ahead, only one behind, and consecutive numbers.
